about

In Part Three of the trilogy, the A-Girl (aka the "Always" girl) takes note of not only my obsession with her but also of herself as one who should be obsessed over. And her response is to laugh at the whole thing! And, indeed, if the trilogy does have any spiritual implications (as I'd initially intended; see explanation of "One Thing" which is Part One of the Trilogy), it may be that God sees our religious obsessions and laughs at them.

Special thanks & shout-out to the Diane Leigh for her excellent & soulful vocals & marimba work on "A-Girl's Reply."

A-GIRL’s REPLY: Ocean Girl Trilogy, Pt 3
words & music by Richard Horton © Hortones

Sun on my back, and the sand ‘neath my feet,
And the stares from the boys fascinate me
Salt on my skin glistens so sweet, and I sashay
And sip another drink

What is it about the salt air and breeze?
What is it with the sea wind and heat?

Tan and so young, long legs so strong
All those gazes and ahhhh’s leave me laughing

What is it about the salt air and breeze?
What is it with the sea wind and heat?

Sun on my back, and the sand ‘neath my feet,
and the stares from the boys fascinate me
Fascinate me
Fascinate me
Fascinate me
